Welch Packaging, a custom manufacturer of corrugated products, has acquired Michcor Container Inc. in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Michcor Container is well-established box manufacturer in Grand Rapids known for reliability and customer service. Founded by John Pettengill in 1981, the company sought a partner to continue a high level of service to customers and create a secure future for hard-working employees. "Welch Packaging has a long history of running successful sheet plants with excellent service,” shared Mr. Pettengill. "I’m confident in their ability to sustain Michcor Container as a long-term family business, bringing the value of the Welch network to our customers.”
Welch Packaging operates a network of corrugated sheet plants supported by its own sheet feeder system. The company has built a reputation for excellence in the packaging industry, driven by a commitment to the customer experience, safety, and its associate family. With 21 corrugated business units and a packaging distribution business, Welch Packaging offers a diverse portfolio of capabilities including bulk laminated products and graphic packaging.
