Elkhart, Indiana based Welch Packaging, an independent, multi-site, family-owned business that has grown to become one of the largest converters in the Midwest, reported  the expansion of its Indianapolis operations with a new 98-inch Fosber corrugator.

The corrugator will operate at a facility a few miles south of Welch’s existing sheet plant. The company expects to add at least  50 new jobs as a result of the expansion.

The new corrugator will expand Welch Packaging’s current production of corrugated products and enhance its abilities to produce specialty scoring profiles and additional coatings for Welch’s custom packaging solutions.

Founded in 1985 with four employees, Welch Packaging now has operations in six Midwestern states. This latest expansion reinforces Welch’s commitment to growth.

”Welch Packaging has always focused on corrugated packaging solutions for our customers,” said Scott Welch, President and founder of Welch Packaging. “This new operation will enable us to improve the customer experience while continuing to ‘Make a Difference’ for our associates and the communities in which we live.”
